It maybe wrong, but whenever we hear that Neville & Julie have written a new dance we always expect something better than average and with some very different in the steps. Well when we attended Funk & Cheap they certainly did not disappoint us with T.O.P. 64 count 4 wall Intermediate, Music: Top of the World by Pussycat Dolls. It was our choice for dance of the weekend, and the class also had the same reaction of what a great dance to a fabulous upbeat track, they certainly know how to pick and write some outstanding dances. This one in our view is a must do dance, as a few that we were not sure it would appeal to in class, also really loved the dance too. Section five after the 2 sailor steps walk walk, was probably the most difficult part of the dance to teach, and spent a bit of more time on this part. Thanks Nev & Julie for another top notch dance. Brilliant!

We were saving this dance for next week as the sheet is not released till then, but seem to have carried away on a high after a superb weekend and taught Robbie McGowan Hickies LA SECRET too 4 wall phrased Intermediate Music LA VOIX by Malena Ernman (remember TRUST ME?) If you liked that one you will love this one too. Video and Script for this one awaiting for Robbie to give the O K, so please don't ask for a script it's not ours to release. We just loved this one, but when Sue taught it at the weekend, She thought it was a marmite dance (one you either love or hate) It did seem incredibly fast, but don't they always when first taught? Two totally different style of dances, that should both be big hits, in our personnel view.

Thank you! I'm so disappointed we didn't get to that one or Miss California. She's teaching 3 dances at our workshops so maybe they will be some of the teaches.

Happy dancing, Kathy.

One of the dances we considered for this week teach was THE CLIMB by Shaz Walton, then when Shy Anne also recommended this dance it was the one we chose to go with, a 48 count Intermediate NC 2 Walls. Music The Climb by Miley Cyrus. 2 restarts The hardest part of this dance is not the steps, but the timing, and it will take another week or two to overcome this. Beautiful dance to some great music. The first few counts of this one are and should as Shaz says feel very slow. Afraid not all liked this one and some just because its sung by Miley Cyrus. A good response from the majority, one that will take a bit more effort. Agree with Anne a fab dance. Well done Shaz.

Recapped HALO by Neville & Julie from last week, another tricky NC2 with lots and lots of turns in this one, but they just love it and is fast becoming a class favorite.

Recapped T O P Nev & Julie (you would never guess we went on their weekend) a Funky dance to Pussycat Dolls that has done well in class.

Recapped La Secrete Robbie McGowan Hickie, this one deserves to be a No One for Robbie great dance.

Last recap of the night IMELDA'S MAN Kim Ray You will just love this slinky music.

We having a class next week, all welcome.

All the above on videos on site

We couldn't decide whether to go with THE CLIMB by Shaz Walton or Nev & Julie's PAINTED WINDOWS tonight, so we put it the the vote and the class wanted to do both.
Both dances went down really well. The steps for The Climb were easy just needed a little work on the timing. They managed Painted Windows relatively easily and really enjoy it. Both dances were a definite success.
Still enjoying Magic, Hush Hush, Halo, T.O.P, Jesse James to name but a few.
